The Laboratory for Manufacturing Systems & Automation (LMS) is oriented on research and development in cutting edge scientific and technological fields. LMS is involved in a number of research projects funded by the CEU and European industrial partners. Particular emphasis is given to the co-operation with the European industry as well as with a number of “hi-tech” firms.
Partner Role in TFknownet:
LMS will focus on deriving the methodology and set-up of TF network, based on the proven track-record in manufacturing-oriented education, Teaching and Learning Factories. Moreover, LMS will be in charge of the piloting activity in Greece, and as an academic partner it will facilitate the participation of academic and research staff as well as of students in the activity. Over and above, LMS will act as a network node for local manufacturing enterprises in the region of Western Greece. Finally, as an activity leader, LMS will be responsible for the coordination, timely
execution and reporting of the activity to EIT Manufacturing.
